Introduction

FreshDirectHome (FDH) is the brand through which we offer fresh food ordering and delivery services. The platform is operated by FDH Foods("FDH", "we", "our" or "us").

This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, share, protect and retain personal information when you use the FDH website, customer accounts, orders and related services.

This policy is intended to help customers understand our practices under applicable Indian law, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (to the extent applicable), and related rules. It is written for clarity, not as a substitute for legal advice.

Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide, that is created when you order, and that is generated when you use our services.

Personal and account information

  • Full name
  • Mobile number
  • Email address (when you provide one)
  • Account and profile details linked to your phone number
  • Delivery address and saved addresses
  • Delivery preferences
  • Location / service-area details needed to confirm delivery (for example, pincode)

Order information

  • Products ordered, quantities and weights
  • Order history and order status
  • Delivery slot and delivery preferences
  • Cancellation and refund information

Payment information

Online payments are processed by authorised payment service providers (currently including Razorpay). Cash on Delivery may also be available.

FDH does not store sensitive payment credentials such as:

  • Full card number
  • CVV
  • UPI PIN
  • Internet banking password
  • Banking authentication credentials

We may receive limited transaction information needed to confirm and manage your order, such as payment status, transaction / reference number, payment method and payment confirmation.

Customer support information

Service messages vs marketing

Service-essential communications (such as OTP codes, order confirmations, delivery updates and support replies) are sent because they are needed to provide the service you requested.

Optional marketing communications, if offered, are sent only where appropriate under applicable law and can be stopped through the contact options in this policy (or any unsubscribe mechanism we provide).

Consent and Legal Basis

We process personal information where it is necessary to:

For transparency, current implementations include: Razorpay (and other authorised payment partners where enabled); Twilio (SMS / WhatsApp OTP); Twilio (WhatsApp / SMS service messages); Supabase (database, authentication-related storage, and related cloud services); Google Analytics; and Hosting and edge analytics providers used to run the website (including Vercel Analytics where enabled).

FDH does not sell, rent, lease or trade customers' personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Third-Party Processing and International Transfers

FDH uses third-party service providers to operate the platform. Those providers may process personal information on our behalf to deliver their services (for example payments, OTP delivery, hosting, analytics and communications).

Some providers may process or store information on infrastructure located outside India. Where that happens, we rely on arrangements permitted under applicable law and expect providers to apply appropriate safeguards. We do not claim that all personal information is stored only in India.

FDH uses reasonable and appropriate technical, organisational and administrative safeguards to protect personal information against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, misuse or destruction.

Refunds and Payment Information

Eligible refunds are processed according to FDH's Refund & Cancellation Policy and returned through the applicable payment mechanism (for example, the original online payment method, or arrangements described for Cash on Delivery quality cases).

Refund timelines may vary depending on banks or payment service providers.
