Refund & Cancellation Policy

Simple, transparent rules — so you always know where you stand.

At Fresh Direct Home (FDH), every cut is prepared only after you order. Our Phase 1 cancellation and refund policy is built around one clear promise: if the vendor has not yet accepted your order, you can cancel online with a 100% refund — no questions asked.

01Online Cancellation (Before Vendor Acceptance)

You may cancel an eligible order from Order Details or Live Tracking as long as the vendor has not accepted it yet.

  • 100% refund — no questions asked.
  • No cancellation charges.
  • No reason is required to cancel in Phase 1.
  • Typically takes two taps: Cancel Order → confirm.

02After Vendor Acceptance

Once a vendor accepts your order, preparation may begin. Online cancellation is no longer available from the app.

  • The Cancel Order button is hidden after vendor acceptance.
  • If you face an exceptional situation, contact support — we’ll do our best to help.
  • Manual cancellation (if approved) is handled by our team, not through self-serve cancel.

03How Refunds Work on Cancellation

  • Online / UPI / card payments: 100% refund to your original payment method, usually within 3–7 business days (bank dependent).
  • FDH Wallet (when available): Instant credit of the refunded amount.
  • Cash on Delivery: If no payment was collected, nothing is charged — no refund is due.
  • Refund status (Initiated / Pending / Completed) is always visible on the cancelled order.

04Quality Issues After Delivery

Separate from cancellation, we stand behind freshness and hygiene after your order arrives.

  • Report spoiled, damaged, or incorrect items within 24 hours of delivery.
  • Share your order ID and a clear photo of the affected item.
  • Eligible cases receive a full refund or free replacement.
  • Due to the perishable nature of meat and seafood, we cannot accept “change of mind” returns after delivery.

05Refund Timeline (Quality Approved Refunds)

Approved quality refunds follow the same timelines as cancellation refunds: original payment method within 3–7 business days, or instant via FDH Wallet when that option applies. For COD quality cases where payment was collected, refunds are arranged via UPI or bank transfer after verification.
